THE ITALIAN JOB CL

You probably heard about clan tiJ (the Italian job) organizing clan league with purpose of gathering players who are not quite solo oriented. Well, league is about to start, clans and their members have been revealed and here are my 2 cents.

First of all, props to Casu aka Cuborg for making nice banners during the registration period. It really looks good.

TEAMS

The whole idea of making a clan league with this format looks interesting. The game has so many types like FFA or 3vs3 but whole credit for gameplay and the admiration goes to players who play Solo. Its true, Solo players and such games are the most interesting to watch but there are other aspects of the game which Solo doesn't have and other game types do. Cooperation. Mixed strategies. Things for which you need at least two players in the same team.

Finally, players who have been playing 2vs2 and 3vs3 since forever, will have the chance to prove that they are good at what they are doing. Many clans signed up and I gotta say that except clan 4On, all other clans have very balanced player pool. Obviously, this is the case because top solo players don't find interest in clan leagues like this simply because their game type has been excluded. 

I don't get why RapiNg and LNo had to sign up for clan 4On there. Was that their own intention or someone signed them up without really asking them? Team that has them in this player pool has an auto win against any signed up clan. There are no players of their caliber in this league and their presence there will probably ruin the fun for the most of teams. If I was in their place, I would step back from this one and let those who never had chance to win anything to enjoy this league and to fight against those who are equal to them. So RapiNg and LNo, sign yourself out because this is the league for semi-good players who improve their playing qualities when they have mate to help them out. Don't run on this field.

The format is okay. I gotta say that I miss 4vs4 here. At least 1 4vs4 game per clan war would be so funny. Plus, it would make scores like 3:3 possible and tie points could be awarded with 1 point. Just an idea.

I won't discuss map pool because I believe that I wouldn't think it better than anyone who is experienced in playing these formats. 

Looking at player pool I gotta say that I am a bit surprised that Pawis is in EPN 2 and not EPN 1 team. Lately, he has been pretty active on W3Arena and I played few games against him. He is improving and right now he is probably better than any player in EPN 1 team. 

Clan KoZ is still the same as it was 7 years ago. Bogdan might be an idiot but his crew deserves some respect. Being together for so long, true on the same newbie level but who cares, they are indeed one of the oldest crews.

Clan MSG looks funny. Seems like Kra_Night was allowed to sign up for this event. That's fair, because he is not a bad guy. Pokinho and Str8-Union will be the stars of this event. Specially Pokinho, because that personality deserves to be remembered.

I had intention to sign up clan w3, but my clan mates are pretty inactive. I am pretty inactive as well because the time I would use for playing I use for something else. And when I get to use it for Warcraft 3 I go and edit some maps. So, no clan w3 this time. Maybe next time folks. Good luck!
