After few weeks of truce in which I decided to treat Rocarena differently by not pointing at every single flaw it has, making efforts in order not to create hostile atmosphere on battle.net and even sending a small donation to support it, we are back where we started.
Just yesterday, when I tried to join clan channel RoC I found out that I am banned, again, by Rocarena's head admin who tried to talk me into something that I couldn't fully accept because the acceptance of that wouldn't benefit the inner truth and the idea but only Rocarena. After he realized that my principles are too strong, he decided to follow my example and to create his own.
Basically, he asked me to remove all my blog content that offends him and his website. My generous act toward him was a removal of all stuff relevant to his real life personality, but I just couldn't chop big part of my blog that is relevant to the game only and cut the piece of history that benefits whole community.
After he realized that I am in the driving seat and that this argue bus can go only where I want it to go, he crashed. Understanding that he can't make me change the blog content and by that to kill the history that reflects on him in a way that he doesn't like, because everything he had to offer in return was not to ban me from his clan channel, he just lost it.
The stuff about Rocarena are still, and will always be posted on my blog, not because of the fact that it hurts someone, but because major part of our community respects my way of calling out stuff with their real name. Now if somebody's feelings get hurt on that way, too bad. We can't live the world we like, but the world we were born at.
I can't say that I am sad that I am not allowed to join channel clan RoC anymore because I had that "privilege" just for one month. There are other channels where I really enjoy spending time. Clan 4On for example. And as I wrote between the lines in the first sentence of this article, I didn't start to treat Rocarena differently and did all the good stuff for them so I could join their channel. I did it because I wanted to be generous to them. It felt like being a good thing to do. Too bad that when I gave them a finger, they asked for a full hand.
For the past two years I've been permanently banned from that channel because I'm just not the type of a guy who will close his eyes of bad things that happen. The trend will continue because I just can't stop being myself. And mostly, because writing about these stuff fills me with joy. Now only thing that I regret is Adam who takes this virtual life extremely serious.
Even tho I decided to remove his full real life name and pictures from my blog so his virtual personality doesn't interfere with his real life personality he has to sit down with himself and take time to think how big impact this game has on real life. I helped him by removing that content and I don't ask for anything in return. Imagine that one day he gets a well payed job and someone decides to search for him on web and finds out all the humiliating things that he did to himself and which I documented. That is why I decided to remove his full name and pictures from this blog.
Not to be unfair I have to mention that he will resend me the amount I donated to Rocarena as soon as my country allows me to receive payments over Pay Pal.
In the end, I am happy with the outcome. Trading documented ROC history that we will all laugh in 10 years for a spot in channel clan Roc and a slot in their hosting bot, would be insane. The stuff I am doing is worth much, much, much more.
Not sure if they deserved this kindness.
